Changan debuts Nevo A06 sedan with 6C battery, available in BEV and EREV

Changan officially unveiled its Nevo A06 sedan, which will be offered in BEV and EREV variants. Notably, the Nevo A06 features 6C battery, in which the official claimed can be recharged at a maximum rate of one km per second. The market entry is expected to be later this year.

Positioned as a medium-to-large sedan and built based on Changan’s SDA (Super DNA) platform, the Nevo A06 measures 4885/1916/1496 mm (l/w/h), with a wheelbase of 2922 mm. Structurally, aluminum double wishbone and rear five-link suspension are present.

The body boasts a drag coefficient of 0.217 Cd. The roof is equipped with a lidar, together with three millimeter-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic radars, and 11 cameras to realize level 2 advanced driving assistance capabilities.

It is worth pointing out that the front has a 2258 mm long through-type headlight comprised of 236 full LED units to form a “smiley face” effect.

The BEV variant will be available in high- and low-power versions. The high-power model boasts a maximum electric motor power of 210 kW (282 hp), while the low-power model boasts 120 kW (161 hp). The new car offers three lithium iron phosphate battery
pack options: 42.12 kWh, 51.48 kWh, and 63.18 kWh, with corresponding ranges of 420 km, 510 km, and 630 km (assuming under CLTC conditions).

Additionally, the high-power model can accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in 6 seconds and comes with an 800V high-voltage SiC platform.

The EREV variant is equipped with a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine with a maximum power of 72 kW (97 hp) as the range-extender, paired with a 120 kW motor and 28.39 kWh battery pack. The WLTC pure electric range is 180 km.

Under 6C fast-charging rate, it takes 9 minutes to recharge the battery from 30% to 80% and 12 minutes from 10% to 80%.

Inside, the cockpit is minimalistic and has a rectangular instrument panel behind the four-spoke steering wheel, a floating central control screen powered by a MTK8676 chip, a concealed air-conditioning outlet that integrates with the dashboard, and 256-color ambient lights. The sound system is supported by 20 speakers. There are also 38 storage slots throughout the interior.
