The £600k AirCar is going on sale in early 2026: here’s everything you need to know

The race to launch the world's first flying car onto the market is on with Klein Vision releasing new footage of their AirCar which goes on sale in 2026 for $800,000.

The Slovakia-based developer is the first to be be certified for flight and hopes to be on sale in January next year.

The AirCar has already completed 170 successful flight hours as well as over 500 takeoffs and landings, has a 620-mile flight range and a cruising flight speed of 155 mph.

The Klein Vision AirCar is a two-seat flying car designed and developed by Klein Vision. It's designed to transition seamlessly between a road-legal vehicle and a certified aircraft. The AirCar is expected to hit the market in early 2026 with a price point of around $1 million.

Key Features and Capabilities:

Transformation:
The AirCar can transform from a road car to an aircraft in approximately two minutes and 15 seconds.

Airworthiness:
It holds a Certificate of Airworthiness and has successfully completed numerous flight hours and takeoffs/landings.

Performance:
The AirCar boasts a cruise speed of 300 km/h and a range of 1,000 km when flying, according to Tech.eu. On the road, it can reach speeds of 200 km/h.

Flight Characteristics:
It can reach altitudes of up to 4,572 meters (15,000 ft).

Fuel:
The AirCar can carry 160 liters of high-octane gasoline between its three fuel tanks.

Engine Options:
The production model offers three engine options, all 3.2-liter, 120-degree V6 motors from Adept Airmotive.

Advanced Features:

The AirCar incorporates advanced technologies like retractable wings, folding tail surfaces, and a parachute deployment system.

Production and Availability:

The AirCar is scheduled for mass production and release in early 2026. 

The production model features a lightweight monocoque frame, making it lighter and stronger than previous prototypes. 

The AirCar is expected to be priced between $800,000 and $1 million, according to Travel Noire and E! News says E! News.
