A Lancia Delta Evoluzione, finished in a distinctive 'Broom Yellow' hue, was custom-built to commemorate Roberto Baggio's 1993 Ballon d'Or victory. On Saturday 26th October at 12 noon, Miki Biasion, together with the Parussini brothers, restorers, will unveil the car to signal the start of the charity auction. The vehicle will be sold through an exclusive auction on the renowned Catawiki on-line platform, beginning next 1st November and running for 16 days.
The car will be on display in booth B15 in exhibition hall 26, allowing all collectors to admire its stunning beauty. This initiative is part of the charitable project "Le Regine del Divin Codino” (Queens of the Divine Ponytail), which sees the collaboration of the multi-decorated world rally champion Miki Biasion, the Lancia historical registers, the Lancia Delta Club of Turin, the Lancia Heritage departments, and has also received support from various institutional bodies.
In addition to the Lancia, various sports memorabilia of great value and significance will be auctioned, including a signed Roberto Baggio jersey, a Valentino Rossi helmet, a Charles Leclerc race shirt provided by the Drivers' National Team, a carbon fibre Lancia Abarth race mirror autographed by Miki Biasion, and many other valuable items. All memorabilia is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
After deducting costs, all proceeds from the auction will be donated to charitable projects, supporting initiatives such as Stella di Cuori, as well as projects by bodies such as the Vialli and Mauro non-profit Foundation, Javier Zanetti and Paula de la Fuente's PUPI non-profit organisation, and the Città della Speranza Foundation.
