London is one of the best places in the world for supercar spotting, and the best place is probably Knightsbridge, the area around one of the world’s famous department stores, Harrods.
You could go there on any random day, sit by a cafe, and you’re guaranteed to see a few interesting cars.
Some of them will be on other plates other than UK plates.
Every year, billionaires from Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE fly their cars to London so they can drive them around the city.
The Ferrari Monza SP2 that was spotted in London is a rare beast.
It’s a seriously expensive roofless speedster without a windshield, and it’s available as a single-seater, the SP1, or a two-seater, the SP2.
The V12 engine that powers it was derived directly from that of the 812 Superfast, and can produce 799 horsepower.
The Ferrari Monza SP can do 0-100km/h (0-60mph) in 2.9 seconds, 0-200 km/h (0-124mph) in 7.9 seconds, and has a top speed of more than 299km/h (186mph).
Ferrari has never revealed how many customers favored the SP1 over the SP2, or vice versa, but we do know that only 499 units were built, so the odds of seeing one ‘in the wild’ are pretty low.
