This is the moment an irresponsible Tesla driver plows their electric vehicle through deep rain water from San Diego's floods.
Video captured by an onlooker at a nearby hotel shows the car, a grey Tesla Model 3, as it breaks through several inches of floodwater.
The car speeds by a Volkswagen Beetle that had gotten stuck in the brutal road conditions and eventually plunges out of the deep water and speeds off.
The driver's foolish journey through deep water comes as San Diego declares a State of Emergency as torrential rain continues to wreak city-wide havoc.
Flash floods inundated homes and overturned cars in San Diego, toppling trees and overflowing streets with videos showing vehicles buried beneath.
While the Tesla driver made it to drier land, his maneuver is not recommended by Tesla or other EV drivers who say waters have destroyed their vehicles.
