Man started crowdfunding to build 110ft Rolls-Royce with a swimming pool and helipad

The name Jay Ohrberg probably doesn’t ring a bell.

However, it’s highly likely you’ve aware of one of his creations.
He’s the Florida man who started a crowd-funding campaign to build a 110-foot-long Rolls-Royce limo with a swimming pool, putting green, and even a helipad.

Jay Ohrberg has a track record of creating famous cars.

He’s behind some of the most famous movie cars of all time, including KITT from Knight Rider, the Back to the Future DeLorean, General Lee from the Dukes of Hazard, and the Batmobile from Batman Returns.

Some of his creations are a little more eccentric and unique, though, like ‘The American Dream’ – a 100-foot-long super limousine built more than three decades ago that still hold’s the title for the world’s longest car.

Back in 2015, Jay Ohrberg announced plans to build an even longer limo and set the bar even higher.

In order to eclipse its predecessor, Ohrberg claimed that the record-breaking limo would be based in an über-luxurious Rolls-Royce sedan, measuring more than 110 feet in length, and feature even crazier features than The American Dream.

So, to find the project, the Hollywood legend decided to take the crowdfunding route and listed the project on Kickstarter with the aim to raise $200,000.

With the money raised, he planned to purchase a pair of new-model Rolls-Royces and to start the build process.

However, the plan failed spectacularly as the crowdfunding campaign only managed to raise $30 from one person before being shut down.

Sadly, Jay Ohrberg has never tried to turn the 110-foot Rolls-Royce limo into a reality, but thankfully we’ve still got The American Dream.
