GAC Aion UT EV with 420 km range enters market at 9,600 USD in China

On February 28, GAC officially launched its Aion UT, offered in five trims in CLTC cruising ranges of 330 km and 420 km, with a price range of 69,800 – 101,800 yuan (9,600 – 14,000 USD). The Aion UT is GAC Aion’s third global model.
Outside, the Aion UT adopts a contrasting floating roof design, combined with daytime running lights that make up of 19 LED units, D-shaped headlightd, and C-shaped taillights.
Its length, width, and height are 4270/1850/1575 mm, respectively; and the wheelbase is 2750 mm.
The entry-level and mid-end trims run on 16-inch rims, while the high-end trims run on 17-inch rims.
Consumers can choose from six exterior paints: red, silver, white, beige, purple, and green.
The Aion UT is powered by a 100 kW (134 hp) front electric motor, matched with 34.868 kWh, 44.257 kWh, 44.12 kWh, or 44.133 kWh battery packs, depending on the trims.
Two CLTC cruising ranges are offered: 330 km and 420 km.
The top speed is 150 km/h, the moose test speed is 75 km/h, and the WLTC comprehensive power consumption is 11.4 kWh per 100 km.
Under fast charging, it takes 24 minutes to replenish from 30% to 80%
Inside, the cockpit is equipped with a 14.6-inch central control screen, a 8.8-inch LCD instrument panel, and round air-conditioning outlets.
HiCar, CarLink, and CarPlay are all supported. An AI voice assistant is also onboard the vehicle.
Only the top-of-the-line trim comes with level 2 advanced driving assistance capabilities and ambient lights.
Other standard configurations include OTA updates, in-car WiFi, two to six speakers, and mobile phone remote control.
